Tuttle and Dillon to Head New ForrestPerkins San Francisco Office

With the opening of the new office, ForrestPerkins hopes to strengthen its presence on the West Coast.

Architecture and design firm ForrestPerkins has opened a new office in San Francisco. The new office complements the company's other two offices in Dallas and Washington, DC.

Senior Vice President Cliff Tuttle and senior associate Elizabeth Baum Dillon will head the San Francisco office. Specializing in the luxury hotel segment, ForrestPerkins has signed more than 20 new projects and made 12 new hires in the last year.

Clifford R. Tuttle, ASIDClifford R. Tuttle headed the interior design practice in the Washington, DC, office of ForrestPerkins, having returned to the United States after six years in Singapore as president of Concept Design Group, Honolulu, and Concept International Design Group, Singapore.

Cliff’s wide range of experience in the hospitality design profession includes the design and management of projects in the United States and Southeast Asia. Active in numerous professional organizations, the firm’s Senior Vice President is involved in the American Society of Interior Designers, having served as President of the Hawaii Chapter. He also maintains membership in the International Interior Design Association, the Interior Designer’s Association of Singapore, and the American Institute of Architects. Cliff recently served as president of the Washington, DC chapter of NEWH and sits on its national Board of Directors.

An award-winning designer whose laurels include Lodging Hospitality Designer’s Circle First Place Award, Cliff has also served as an educator, teaching at the Honolulu Academy of Arts and the Interior Designers’ Guild in Los Angeles. Cliff’s creativity, expertise in spatial planning and project management skills augment the experience and skill of the firm’s principals. His considerable experience in Asia expands FORRESTPERKINS’ ability to provide comprehensive service to its international clientele.

Cliff is active on the international level with NEWH, serving on the Board of Directors and as strategic planning trainer and mentor for NEWH chapters in the US and the UK.

Elizabeth Dillon, ASID
Senior Associate

An NCIDQ-Certified Designer with six years of experience in hospitality and luxury high-rise residential design, Elizabeth Baum was a Senior Project Manager in ForrestPerkins' Washington, D.C. office. Elizabeth is licensed by the State of Virginia.

In 2000, Elizabeth graduated Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science degree from FIDER-accredited Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University. Prior to joining ForrestPerkins, Elizabeth worked for R.D. Jones and Associates as a junior designer on hospitality projects.

Elizabeth is also a Professional Member of the American Society of Interior Designers and contributes to the community by participating in a number of volunteer programs such as Habitat for Humanity and serving with Phone Friend as a part of Prevent Child Abuse of Metropolitan Washington.

Elizabeth's success at managing complex projects, client relationships, and creative teams attests to her skill at applying strong business principles and people skills to the creative and problem-solving process.
