World class architects give shape to mega project in Las Vegas.

MGM Mirage has assembled a world-class team of designer’s to give shape to Project CityCenter, a sustainable mixed-use project to be located on the city’s famous Strip. The $5 billion project will redefine the city with contemporary-designed projects led by renowned architects, Cesar Pelli, Rafael Vinoly, Sir Norman Fosters, Studio Libeskind, James KM Cheng, Tihany Design and Kohn Pederson Fox.

Gensler has been named executive architect for the project. The project, which is halfway through a 20-month design process and is scheduled to open in 2009, will feature a 60-storey, 4,000 room hotel/casino; two 400 room, non-gaming hotels; approximately 500,000 square feet of retail, dining and entertainment space; and 1,640 units of luxury condominiums. CityCenter is the largest privately financed development in the United States.

The major components of CityCenter:
Vdara Hotel
Vdara Hotel Condos will be the only condo hotel component in MGM City Center. VDARA aims to provide the ideal balance of access and escape. Designed by RV Architecture LLC, the 50-story tower, built in muted shades of ebony, will feature understated interior decor to complement its stunning open floor plans and walls of windows designed to take full advantage of the spectacular views of the city and its lights.

Incredibly located between Bellagio and CityCenter's Hotel-Casino Resort, VDARA will have about 1,543 hotel-condominium units ranging from studios of about 500 sq. ft., deluxe studios of about 650 sq. ft., one-bedroom suites and one and two bedroom multi-level penthouses of about 2,200 square feet.
MGM City Center's VDARA Towers will offer a variety of amenities: a luxurious spa and salon, pool with cabanas, a fitness center, a destination restaurant, 24-hour concierge service, state of the art conference and meetings facilities, room service, housekeeping and valet parking.
Owners also will have the option to rent out their units on a nightly basis through an MGM MIRAGE MANAGED rental program.
Veer Tower, Las Vegas
Veer Towers
Rising from CityCenter's retail and entertainment district will be Veer Towers. Designed by architect Helmut Jahn, they will offer residents the best of city living. Veer Towers will consist of two glass towers leaning in opposite directions, representing an innovative architectural accomplishment. Each tower will be 37 stories containing more than 350 modern condominium residences.
The condos will range from 500 to 2,600 square feet in a variety of studio, one-and-two-bedroom flats and penthouses.
Atop each striking tower, residents and guests will enjoy an amenities floor featuring an unparalleled view of Las Vegas and such luxuries as, an "infinity edge" pool, a fitness center, spa, cabanas and a patio for outdoor entertaining. Steps away, residents will have access to upscale dining, world-class shopping and the type of exhilarating nightlife and entertainment that only Las Vegas can deliver.
The Harmon Luxury Tower
The Harmon Hotel & Residences
Designed by Foster and Partners and operated by visionary Andrew Sasson's The Light Group, The Harmon Hotel & Residences will define stylish, exclusive living on the exciting Las Vegas Strip.

The Residences at Mandarin Oriental will be a hotel residence. It will combine the prestige of an internationally renowned hotel and resort brand, exceptional amenities and cutting-edge architectural design with a world-class, five-star hotel and residential experience.
Residents will be treated as permanent guests of Mandarin Oriental and enjoy privileged access to the outstanding services provided by the hotel.
Designed by KPF Architects, The Residences at Mandarin Oriental will feature approximately 227 condominium residences situated on the upper floors of the 400-room hotel tower. Owners will have a private lobby and clubroom but access to all of the hotel's amenities.
Prices for the luxurious Residences at Mandarin Oriental started at an amazing $1.5 million. Incredibly, all of the one- and two-bedroom plans sold out within the first few weeks of release. Currently, only the two- and three-bedroom penthouse units are available. They range in size from 1,000 to 4,100 square feet.
