The City's first permanent Government Center is under construction east of Peyton Drive at the new City Center Drive between the U.S. Post Office and St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church. The new City facilities are located south of the Shoppes at Chino Hills, which is also under construction at this time. The area is already becoming known as the new "Main Street" Chino Hills.
The project's official website , includes a site plan and renderings of the various facilities. In addition, website visitors can watch construction progress through a construction webcam that is part of the CHGC site security system
One of the main advantages to the stone is that it weighs much less than the required 15lbs per square foot so it can be thin set over most substrates, rather than the more expensive alternative of mechanical fastening.
The 91 million dollar project was designed by Irvine based LPA architects a long term client of SpecCeramics. The general contractor Douglass E. Barnhart was also impressed with the bush hammered stone veneer, due to it’s time saving thin set installation.
