SpecCeramics Supplies Quality Stone Products for the Newport Beach Lexus Dealership
SpecCeramics Inc., industry leaders of providing high-quality stone products, supplied architect Jeff Carlile of Carlile Coatsworth Architects Inc. with 40,000 square feet of Cotto d’Este porcelain stone at the newly designed $65 million Lexus dealership retail showroom in Newport Beach, California.

SpecCeramics Supplies Quality Stone Products for the Newport Beach Lexus Dealership SpecCeramics exhibited its premier customer service by spending more than six months continually collecting materials to perfect the artistic vision of the architect. SpecCeramics found the solution in 24” x 24” high-end porcelain tiles of Cotto d’Este’s Buxy series, made to duplicate a rare French limestone and present a natural stone look to the showroom floor.

“Since real limestone is not as dense as the porcelain, the porcelain has a higher durability, requires less maintenance, and will hold up and look much better after many years,” said Gail Kelly of SpecCeramics. “The Buxy series, one of the first series to come out in extra large format sizes (24” x 48”), is also aesthetically the best product on the market.”

Newport Lexus primarily used the caramel color of the Buxy series with a Lux finish for the flooring. Aesthetic features of the stone include a high gloss reflectivity, soft surface and flat texture. The factory also used a custom finish in the Amande color for the circles which showcase the automobiles, which makes them stand out against the polished white flooring.
